 Deborah J. Rutt, Ph.D. has made a life study of communication. With more than 20 years experience as a speech communication consultant, trial consultant and psychotherapist, Deborah Rutt has a unique skill set to assist individuals tackle a wide variety of communication problems. She understands the need for speakers to adapt to their audience and how to take into account the communication context. She understands the psychological needs which may or may not be addressed in any given communication situation and she helps people build on their strengths to become better communicators.

Deborah J .Rutt has been a student, teacher, researcher and consultant of speech communication for over 20 years. She holds a Doctoral Degree in Communication Studies and a Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work (Psychotherapy) from the University of Iowa, as well as a Masters Degree in Speech Pathology from Columbia University, New York.
